Maureen Buda Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes - Delta Chapel on Dec. 3, 2024.
Maureen Anne Buda was born April 5,1948 in Detroit, MI. Maureen resided in Lansing MI, where she lived a life marked by love and humble service until she departed unexpectedly on November 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Maureen lived a life of love and faith in the Lord. She was a shining example of following Jesus' command, to above all, love the Lord and one another.
Maureen was surrounded by family all her life. She was the eldest of 11 children, with 5 sisters and 5 brothers and helped her parents raise their family from an early age. After graduating from Marian High School, she went to work at Montgomery Ward where she met her loving husband, Ted. Soon after they were married on February 14, 1969, and started a family.
Maureen's vocation was a ministry of helping others and of making every person she encountered feel significant and valued. She accomplished this in a variety of ways, nurturing her family and creating a wonderful home as a stay-at-home mom, working in a periodontal office, being a secretary at Lansing Catholic High School, bringing meals to the homebound through Meals on Wheels, volunteering at St. Gerard School and caring for family and friends in countless other ways.
She was the heart of her family, and they were greatly blessed with her presence. Maureen enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren excel in sports. She shared her artistic gifts with others by painting and loved puzzles and golfing trips up north.
Maureen has left behind her many broken hearts, but only after gifting us with her immense love and devotion.
She was the beloved wife of Ted, devoted mother of Susan (Matthew) Dugener, Julie (Jeffrey) Rule, and Michael Buda. Her love continued to bloom through her grandchildren, Nathan, Jared, and Adam Dugener; Lauren, Caleb, Joshua, and Ethan Rule; and Devan, Sydney, and Ella Buda. Each of them is a shining testament to her unending care and affection.
