It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Driscoll Cress, a devoted wife and a loving mother of six children.
Maureen passed peacefully at home, of natural causes, on May 16, 2025
Born January 22, 1936 in Queens, NY. Growing up in Queens, NY, she was one of 7 children, having 5 sisters and 1 brother. She lived in Elizabeth, NJ Gillette, NJ and Hollywood, FL before moving to Washington, NJ 2 years ago.
Maureen would say that her greatest accomplishment was raising six children. She was always there when needed most, offering support, wisdom and love. She was a very strong-willed woman, who always spoke her mind. She made sure all her children were respectful, independent and would always be able to take care of themselves.
Predeceased by her husband, her one true love, Paul Cress, daughter Colleen Cress, her parents and siblings Buddy, Betty, Eileen and Joyce.
Survived by daughter Michelle Hartl & spouse Clifford Hartl, daughter Linda Maguire & spouse John Maguire, son Paul Cress & Spouse Jacqueline Cress, daughter Christine Kaneps & spouse Armand Kaneps, daughter Maureen Ross & spouse Wayne Ross, granddaughter Dana Christy & spouse Matthew Christy, granddaughter Brianna Cress and grandson Connor Hartl, sister Joan Defina and sister Colleen Bosco.
