Matthew Peter Carracino, Jr. passed away at his home on June 2, 2025 after a valiant six-year battle with advanced prostate cancer. He was born in Newark on June 4, 1957 to Matthew P. and Dolores (nee McGlone) Carracino and grew up in the Caldwells, graduating from James Caldwell High School in 1975, where he excelled in both wrestling and cross country sports. Matthew then went on to attend the University of Delaware, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. He was also a member of the Theta Chi fraternity.

Matthew ultimately pursued a career in Information Technology, studying at both NJIT and Somerset County Vocational School. In the early 1990s, he worked as a Comptroller for Pride Technologies in Edison. Wanting very much to branch out on his own and to help small businesses with their information technology needs, Matthew established his own company, Integrity Computer Support, Inc., located in Stirling, in 1997. Its initial beginnings were as a website design and development company, but over the years, Matthew's advanced expertise in the technology field enabled him to transform Integrity into a full-service digital marketing agency specializing in paid advertising, search engine optimization, and social media management.

Matthew was both a curious and gregarious individual by nature. He always loved trying new things, and one of his proudest accomplishments was learning to play the violin in his adult years. He also loved meeting and engaging with people, he could strike up a conversation with anyone, and usually about anything. He also loved gardening and nature, good food, working hard, and spending quality time with cherished family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents and grandparents. Surviving Matthew are his beloved wife of 34 years, Bernadette, with whom he resided in Stirling for over 30 years; his sister, Cindy Carracino of West Orange; his brother, Tom (Amy) Carracino of Verona; his niece Gianna Tutela and nephew Joseph Tutela; cousins Bobby and Steven Schuetz and their families; and dear friend Mary Lou DiBella. Matthew also leaves behind an extended network of family and friends who will miss his thoughtful conversations, never-ending optimism, and absolute love for life.
A memorial celebration will be held on a later date. Donations in his memory can be made to the Prostate Cancer Research Institute (PCRI) in Culver City, CA, or to the University of Delaware in Newark, DE, and directed to the University Libraries.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Road Gillette, NJ 07933. For more information and online condolences visit valleymemorialfuneralhome.net
