Patricia Cress

Patricia Cress, 74, of Ridley Park, passed away peacefully in the early hours of August 13, 2025, after a long illness. She was born on March 16, 1951, to Robert and Ethel Cole in Escondido, California, and was raised in Delaware County, Pennsylvania where she met her husband and raised her two children.
Patricia will be remembered for her faith in God and her love and commitment to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent time as a preschool and kindergarten teacher with various churches, and in her later years she was able to continue working with children, having been blessed with four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed her visits to many beautiful locations with her husband, including the Grand Canyon and the rolling hills of Scotland.
Her memories will live on through the stories and moments shared by her family.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Cress; her son, Jeremiah Cress; her three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Ron (Susan) Cole, Steve Cole, Ken Cole, and Lorraine Fisher. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica O'Neil; her granddaughter, Lisa Marucci; and her parents, Robert and Ethel Cole, sister-in-law Betty Cole, and brother-in-law Harry Fisher.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Saturday, August 23rd at Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 11.a.m with a service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
