Maureen "Reenie" Louise Curtis, 58 of Erie, passed away peacefully on Monday June 3, 2024. She was born in Erie on March 16, 1966. A daughter of Sally L. (Angert) Crotty, and the late John M. Crotty.
Reenie attended Corry Area High School and furthered her education at Penn State Behrend. She obtained a degree in accounting and spent most of her career working at Scobell Company.
To know Reenie was to experience the true meaning of family. She had a rare gift for making everyone she encountered feel welcomed and loved. Reenie had the ability to form relationships and create a sense of belonging wherever she went. She was the "life of the party" and enjoyed entertaining for family and friends. Her smile and laughter will live on in our hearts forever. Maureen was a wonderful mother who loved her children deeply. She was always open to offer support, wisdom, and love. A friend to many, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her fiancé, Randy Campana; her children, Brianna (Grant) Panko, Emily Curtis, and step daughter, Ashley (Brian) Spisak; five siblings, John (Gail) Crotty, of Corry, Laurie (David) Butler, of Erie, Robert (Chris) Crotty, of Bluffton, S.C., Darcy (Tom) Smith, and Marcy (Chris) White, both of Erie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who she loved very much and her former husband David Curtis.
Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 W. 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd., on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., and may attend a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 W. 38th Street on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Very sad to see Maureen passed. I was her neighbor on Plum for a few years. Condolences to her daughters. Her Spirit will comfort those that loved her. She was an honest and upfront person. I am sure she will be missed.
