Maurita Schuler passed away on August 11, 2025, due to complications from a stroke. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Thomas Schuler; and her parents Carl and Hendrika Bueb; along with her sisters, Madelyn Ludwig, Joanne Clemens, Catherine Mitchell, Matilda Bueb; her brothers, Richard, John, and Joseph Bueb; and her son-in-law, Michael Duncan. Maurita is survived by her children, Mary Duncan, Theresa (Dan) Kuplic, Mark (Sonja) Schuler, Matt (Sharon) Schuler, Paul (Sherry) Schuler, Cecilia (Matt) Hahn, and John (Amy) Schuler; and 27 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren (with 2 on the way). Maurita was born in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1932. She married Ronald Schuler in 1955 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake, Iowa. Maurita was an avid gardener and homemaker. She was a gifted seamstress and knitter. Maurita was known for her personalized, homemade Christmas stockings; however, she is best known for her love for Jesus, her family, and the Catholic church. She was active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and was a true Prayer Warrior. She also loved sharing any media that encouraged others in the faith, especially EWTN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 22 at 10:30 AM with visitation at 9:30 AM at the Church of the Epiphany, 1900 111th Ave. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.
