Max Walter Grieder, age 78 of Hillsdale, MI
It is with deep sorry that we announce the passing of Max W. Grieder who left us on August 9, 2025 in Adrian, MI. Max was born on January 28, 1947 in Morenci, MI to Walter and Ilah Grieder. Max was a graduate of Morenci High School class of 1965. He married his high school sweetheart, Marcia on September 4, 1965, sharing 60 years of marriage together before his passing. After high school, he started at Parker Chemical where he worked as a lab tech for 25 years until it closed. He finished his career at ACT in Hillsdale, MI and after retiring they split their time in Florida as snow birds and Michigan during the summer. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, love for motorcycles, and insatiable sweet tooth. His favorite place to be was on a Harley Davidson or his swing at the lake.
Max is survived by his wife, Marcia (Dominique) Grieder; children Michelle (Tim) Bovee and Matt Grieder; grandchildren Jacob (Whitney) Bovee, Brett (Hannah) Bovee, Brooke (Stefan) Garcia, Nate, Dylan and Kylee Grieder; great grandchildren Penelope, Paxon and Portlyn Bovee, Hayden, Henrix and Harlow Bovee and Luke Garcia; and brother Richard (Dianne) Grieder. Max was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ilah Grieder and his in-laws John and Geraldine Dominique.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Marry Funeral Home in Morenci, MI beginning at 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm when friends and family are encouraged to share memories of Max. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Hospice of Lenawee.
