Maxe Jean Tarrance, age 87 of AuGres, MI, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Maxe was born on October 21, 1936 in Piedmont, AL, to the late David and Inez (Estes) Tarrance.
Maxe served in the United States Air Force from 1955 - 1956 and was honorably discharged. It was during that time that he married the love of his life, Arleen (Jackson) Tarrance on July 25, 1955. They had 4 children together. He and Arleen eventually settled in AuGres. He was self employed working mostly in the commercial glass and metal industry.
Maxe enjoyed hunting and fishing, working around the house and also working around the church they belonged too. He had endless energy and never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with anyone anytime. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Maxe is survived by his wife, Arleen; children, Max Eugene (Bev Dunagan) Tarrance, Debra (Bill) Bryan, Lori (Craig) Pyszko, Kirstie (Ken) McCaffrey; brothers, Doug (Sharon) Tarrance and Gaylon (Lorraine) Tarrance; sister-in-law, Fran Tarrance; grandchildren, Kathleen (Paul) Martin, Mitch (Amanda) Tarrance, Jeff (Jessica Paluch) Tarrance, Lauren (TJ) Pemberton, Christopher Pyszko, Brad (Katie Hutter) McCaffrey, Nick (Emily) McCaffrey Alaina McCaffrey; great-grandchildren, Chelsea (Ben) Stevens, Owen, Ivan and Weston Tarrance, Evelyn Tarrance, Sebastian and Ellliott Pemberton, Liam and Nolan McCaffrey; great-great-grandchild, Lincoln Stevens arriving in December, and many nieces and nephews.
Maxe is proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Wendal and Larry; daughter-in-law, Sue.
Per Maxe's wishes cremation has taken place and the family will have a celebration of life on October 26, at 1:00 pm, at Full Gospel Lighthouse - 428 W. Michigan Avenue-AuGres - MI. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com to share condolences, memories, and photos of Maxe.
