Maxine Lundberg

Maxine B. Lundberg, age 69, of Harborcreek, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025. She was born in Erie on October 19, 1955, daughter of the late Earl and Mary Lundberg.

Maxine was a 1973 graduate of Harbor Creek High School. She then received her degree in Physical Education from Edinboro University. Maxine first taught in Skokie, IL, returning to Harbor Creek High School where she taught physical education and health. She was a beloved coach in swimming, diving and track. Maxine was privileged to take many students to the state competitions.

Maxine loved her dogs and showed her Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in State and National Competitions and also served on various dog show committees. She was very artistic and made and sold quality stain glass. Maxine enjoyed traveling and scuba diving and served on the Sheriff's Rescue and Recovery Team. She also enjoyed her visits to the casino, known as her "happy place". Most of all, she loved coaching and seeing all the potential in each of her students. Maxine was inducted into the Erie Aquatic Hall of Fame in August 2024.

Maxine is survived by two brothers, Eric Lundberg (Janet) and Douglas Lundberg; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha; and an infant baby brother.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral and Cremation Services Harborcreek, 5151 Buffalo Road (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.) on Saturday, May 3rd, from 10:30 am until the time of the Funeral Service there at 1:30 pm.
