Maxine H. Quilliam 91 of Newark, Ohio formerly of Lakeport, Florida passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Sharon Brooke in Newark. She was born on June 1, 1931 in Washington, Indiana to the late Herbert and Viola Hunter.
She was a retired librarian for Pickerington School District. A resident of Lakeport, she was a member of Lakeport Christian Church and attended Millersport United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, solitaire, and theater productions. Maxine also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Karen Taylor of Newark; son, Randy (Tanya) of Millersport; two grandsons, Josh (Maria) Quilliam and Jeff (Kayla) Quilliam; five great grandchildren, Hunter, Noah, Tripp, Faithann and Kaylyn; four step grandchildren, Andy Hite, Heather Evans, Ami Boch and Dodi Brinkman; several step-great grandchildren; sister, Marcella Myers of Loveland and Nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert E. Quilliam, parents, sister, Lois Schnarr and son-in-law, Tommy Taylor.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Millersport United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Condrey officiating. A meal will follow the service at the church. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Caring Cremation® is being handled by the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, BALTIMORE, OHIO.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Millersport United Methodist Church, 2310 Refugee Rd NE, Millersport, Ohio 43046 in her memory.
