Condolences to the entire family, both by blood and adopted sorors and friends. With fortitude, Dr. Reese demanded respect and blazed new trails throughout her life. Her unwavering commitment to student achievement, civic responsibilities and service are just three traits that I will always cherish. RIH soror, and take your rest.

We celebrate her extraordinary life and the indelible mark she leaves on Dallas and beyond. A pioneering educator, civic leader, and trailblazer, Dr. Reese devoted her life to education, racial equality, social justice, and public service. Her work in Dallas ISD, her tenure on the Dallas City Council, and her tireless commitment to community advocacy have touched countless lives and built bridges for future generations.
We, the City Men Cook family, honor her specific contributions to our cultural mission. Dr. Reese was a steadfast supporter of our signature events and believed in the importance of developing mentors to guide and inspire the next generation. Her influence and encouragement strengthened our vision of service, uplift, and community celebration.
