Maxine Shields Obituary
Maxine Shields, age 94, of Marion passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 7:11 PM at her daughter's home in Mt. Victory, Ohio. She was born in Marion, Ohio on December 9, 1929, the daughter of the late Cecil and Mina Gertrude (Bowman) Daniel. She was a graduate of Harding High School class of 1947. Maxine worked as a traffic supervisor for the Quaker Oats Co. for over 29 years before her retirement in 1989.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, Mervin Shields, a son, Toby Shields, a brother, Don Daniel, and a sister, Virginia Tivenan. She is survived by a son, Robert (Lisa) Shields of Huron, OH., a daughter, Sue (Gary) Stine of Kenton, OH., 2 brothers, James (Margaret) Daniel of Marion, OH. and Eugene Daniel of Texas, 4 grandchildren, Kellie & Daniel Shields and Benjamin & Wesley Stine.
There will be no visiting hours or funeral service held at this time. Burial will take place in the Caledonia Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be given in Maxine's name to the donor's choice.
