Maylene Hilbun
Maylene Hilbun age 84, passed away March 7, 2025, in Brownwood, Tx.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home in Brownwood. A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Brownwood. Interment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery directly after the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Maylene was born on September 27, 1940, in Coleman, Texas. She was a devoted member of Grace Lutheran Church where Maylene found great joy in her faith and fellowship. She was a past president of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LMWL), dedicating her time and heart to service.
She cherished adventures with her beloved husband Al and always had a competitive spirit when playing spades. She spent 27 years working for Albertsons, where she made many lifelong friendships.
Maylene and Al were happily married for 37 years, sharing a life full of love, laughter, and treasured memories. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her husband, Al Hilbun of Brownwood. Sons, Bobby Hilbun (wife Allison) of Stephenville, John Hilbun (wife Angel) of Austin and daughter-in-law Joan Lunsford of Southaven, Mississippi. Her grandchildren, Trey Lunsford (wife Holly), Leigh Anne Milcic (husband T.J.) and Finn Hilbun. Maylene's great grandchildren, Camden, Brooks, Elle, Nolan and Reese. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Maylene is preceded in death by her parents Cecil Phillips and Pat and Charles Coker, her son, James Lunsford Jr. brother Truman Phillips, sister Billie June Neatherlin and (husband bill), Jackie Hamilton and (husband George), niece Kelly Neatherlin, nephew Ray Hamilton and great nephew Jarrod Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church of Brownwood Tx.
