Melissa Dawn Carnell was born May 26, 1979 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Jimmy Don Carnell and Gail Dehart-Carnell. Through the years since she was a little girl, she has lived in various places. Her dad was Served in the Military and moved as needed during his career, so they lived in North Carolina, Texas and other places. For the past 9 years she has made Pauls Valley her home. Melissa has worked at Walmart for a number of years and was a member of the Victory Lighthouse Church in Pauls Valley.
Melissa is survived by her parents, Jimmy and Gail Dehart-Carnell; her children, Tyler Brock Milligan, Riley Tate Newell, and Charles Dalton Glen Newell; seven brothers, Chad Carnell, William Bear Carnell, Garrett Johnson, Anthony Stanley, Christopher Gatto, Russell Boyd, and Gregory Pendilton; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Carnell, Hunter Carnell, Bear Carnell, II, Jackson Carnell, Dakota Whitmore, and Johnathan Moore.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Victory Lighthouse Church officiated by Pastor Jewell Beckwith. Interment will be at Whitebead Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. We invite you to send words of comfort to the family at www.stufflebeanfuneralhome.com.
