Melissa Kobe, age 51, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at her home by her husband's side. She was born May 25, 1973, in Putnam, to Kenneth (Kenny) and Cheryl (Gervais) Dziadul.
She attended Plainfield High School and got her high school diploma. She married Wayne Kobe on August 20, 1995, in Plainfield. Melissa worked as a wife, mom, grammie, homeschool teacher, foster parent, counselor, and a spiritual mentor to many.
Melissa brought life and love to many of her friends and family. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and expressed Him with her beautiful singing voice, and heartfelt conversation everywhere she went. She shook the earth with her laugh, beautiful smile, and words of truth.
Melissa is survived by her father, Kenneth; loving husband, Wayne; their six children, Billy, Brooke, Nathan, Ivy, Elijah, and Jessica; five grandchildren, Sophia, Hazel-May, Willow, Kayleigh, and Will; three brothers, Kenny, Anthony, and Craig; six sisters, Kim, Cheryl, Mary, Erin, Coreen, and Wendy; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Melissa left a lasting handprint of her life in Christ with her husband, children, family, and a host of friends. Her generosity, passion and caring were demonstrated with excellence and abundance to everyone she met. She lived a life of actionable love. Truly, she will be missed on this earth. Her family and friends will continue to carry the torch of the love of Jesus Christ as described in John 12:24. Melissa fought the good fight and has finished her race and had kept the faith.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Melissa touched are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at their house in early summer of 2025.
