Melissa Kaye Schwind

Melissa Kaye Schwind (Peterson) passed away peacefully surrounded by those she loved, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 following her brief battle with metastatic melanoma.
She met Aaron Schwind during her Senior year at Oconomowoc High School in 2002, they were married in 2008. They spent their time together traveling, attending Brewers games and local festivals. They welcomed their first and only child Jack in 2014. Melissa cherished all things related to her boys. She was a devoted wife and mother. Though her passing was too soon, she will live on in the cherished memories she created with many friends and family.
She was known in the neighborhood for her grand sidewalk chalk art, the source of the best snacks, the host of campfire and driveway hangouts. She's everyone's cheerleader always encouraging others with a kind word or big hug. You may also recognize her from Bank Five Nine where she has been a loyal employee for the past eight years. Her generosity and gorgeous smile has improved our lives in countless ways.

A private service with burial will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home and Glenview Memorial Gardens.
