Melissa was born on September 11, 1987, to Paul Joe Silva and Sandra Jean Maes in Portales, NM. Melissa was a shift manager at Twin Cronnie's Drive in. Melissa loved singing, dancing, and listening to music. She enjoyed family time and especially time with her granddaughter, Aliana Romero. She was a hard-working mother.
Survivors include her children; Isaiah Silva of Clovis, NM, Keria Ray of Clovis, NM, Alaiha Silva of Clovis, NM, Jarmion Dixon of NC, and Timothy Dixon of NC, mother; Sandra Salas, siblings; Cassandra Salas of San Antonio, TX, Toni Maes of Lubbock, TX, and Joey (Destiny) Maes of Clovis, NM, uncle; Darren James of Clovis, NM, aunt; Tanya Gonzales of Clovis, NM, half-sisters; Branna Silva of Clovis, NM and Christian Silva of Clovis, NM, grandchildren; Aliana Romero, uncles Mark Silva of Clovis, NM, and Phillip (Jackie) Silva of Edgewood, NM, grandmother; Elizabeth Silva of Portales, NM, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents; Mary Lou Corona and Tilo Maes, father; Paul Joe Silva, grandfather; Felix Silva, aunt; Nieves Chavez, and uncles; Dennis Maes, Patrick Maes, Paul Maes Sr., and Tony Herrera.
