Melissa H. White, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Hull and S. Weymouth, MA, passed away suddenly on December 10, 2023, at the age of 38.
Melissa had a big personality and an even bigger heart, and she left a lasting impression on anyone she met. She was a generous soul who would give her time, and money and lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on to anyone who needed it. She had a very adventurous spirit, and there wasn't much she was unwilling to try.
Melissa always had her passport ready to go and traveled to many foreign countries and experienced many different cultures. Whether exploring a new city or walking in her neighborhood with her dog, Melissa made friends wherever she went. She always embraced new people and relationships but never forgot about those she cherished the most.
Melissa was a standout academic at Notre Dame Academy and later at Colgate University. In her youth, she was an extremely accomplished swimmer, and barring an injury, she could have taken her talents to the Olympic trials. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry for many years and was extremely successful in her professional endeavors. Melissa loved the water and everything about it - she spent a semester at sea and thoroughly enjoyed the beach; if you couldn't find her, she was probably outside catching a tan. She loved life, and she lived hers to the fullest.
Melissa is the Beloved daughter of Frederick and Jan White of Hull, MA.
Loving sister to Chrissy White and her wife, Liz Bell, of Portland, ME, and Freddy White of Weymouth, MA, and cherished Mama to her puggle, Toby.
Niece of William and Kathy Dupras of South Weymouth, Robert and Marcia Adams of New Hampshire, Sharon Dupras of Maine, the late Raymond Dupras and his surviving wife, Susan of Hingham, John and Terry White of Plymouth and Jan Foley of Hull. Also survived by many cousins and dear friends
