Melva Adelaide Price-Pratt born March 30th, 1954 in Camden NJ to Ronald and Jean Price (nee Jones). On the morning of October 15th 2025, she passed away after a long illness at home with her eldest daughter and Son in law at her side. Melva grew up in Williamstown NJ and was educated in the Williamstown and Camden school districts.

Melva would go on to pursue higher education while raising her two children obtaining her associates degree in1983, a bachelor's degree in1986 and a master's degree in 2003 she was working on her PhD. in theology until her health began to fail. She chose theological studies to bring her closer to the lord Melva wanted and achieved the direct connection she wanted with the lord in addition to being a woman of faith Melva was a hard-working woman with Various jobs including Prudential insurance, Kebley Computers inc. Phillip Morris International Melva found her long term career at the superior courts of Camden as supervisor of their IT department for 25yrs. until her retirement in 2010. Melva was truly a phenomenal woman a role model for all women she was the proof that you can achieve your dreams despite the odds. God was so good to Melva Adelaide and it is well with her soul!!!

Melva was predeceased by brothers Ronald Michael Price, Ronald Jeffrey Price a sister Tracy Irene Price and a Granddaughter Evelynne Novelle Porter. She leaves to celebrate and cherish her memory her beloved daughters Lynn Porter (Sultan) of Pennsylvania and Ta'Wanda Pratt of NJ. 2 grandchildren Lenard Willis Jr. and Christina Moore both of NJ brothers Leon Price (Delrae) of NJ, David Price of Pennsylvania and William Price of NJ, a godsister Cherise Berger, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and colleagues. She will be greatly missed.
