Meredith Allen Obituary

Meredith was born on June 6, 1930, in Johnson County, Indiana to the late David S. Allen and Zelma M. Allen. He attended Whiteland High School and joined the US Army. He proudly served his country in The Korean War. On June 13, 1954, he married the love of his life, Sarah C. Overstreet, who survives. Meredith worked for over 26 years as a tool & die maker for Western Electric.
Surviors include his wife of 69 years, Sarah Allen; two daughters, Sherri (Trish) Allen of Knoxville, TN and Debra Copeland (Don) of Cisco, IL.
Meredith was preceded in death by his brother, the late David D. "Sonny" Allen.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, March 26 from 12:30 – 1:30PM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service – Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood, IN. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM at Rocklane Cemetery in Greenwood.
Memorial contributions can be made in Meredith D. Allen's memory to The Human Society of Johnson County.
