Merle E. Neff, 69, of State College, died Monday, April 7, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born April 3, 1956, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Dorothy M. (Gibbons) Neff.
Merle graduated from State College High School in 1974. He worked for Chemcut Corp. as a Production Assembler for the last forty-four years.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fly-fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed turkey hunting.
On March 21,1986 he married Cheryl Heasley Neff who survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Katie Neff of State College, and two siblings, Glenda Bartley of Milroy and Marlin Neff of Boalsburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Richard, and Joseph Neff; two sisters, Karen Neff and Susan Lykens, and an infant daughter, Eliza Neff.
A visitation will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 from 10-11 am at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, PA. A funeral service will follow at 11 am with Pastor Paul Tomkiel officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Nittany Valley Longbeards of the National Wild Turkey Federation, in care of Sherry Yocum at 3555 Circleville Rd. Port Matilda 16870
