In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four siblings, Betty Faye Bell, Bobby Ray Bell, Martha Bell, and Geraldine Bell.
Mrs. Newhouse is survived by her sister, Nancy Bell Dial; and three nieces, Cathy Bell of Lumberton, Shelly McNeill of Lumberton, and Tammy Bell Collins of Red Springs.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 23, 2025 at New Point Baptist Church in Lumberton.
Services entrusted to Boles-Biggs Funeral Home in Lumberton.

Ms Melean lived at West Mobile home park for about 12 years . She was a very nice lady who kept to herself and never was a bother to anyone . After her husband died , a neighbor, Eric became her caregiver , out of the goodness of his heart and she always enjoyed his delicious meals thst he prepared for her . She will truly be missed.
