Michael 'Dain' McNabb, age 34 of Loudon, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Dain loved hunting, fishing, sports, especially football and baseball, but most of all spending time with his son, Michael Cash. He loved Loudon baseball and was an all-state catcher at Loudon High School. He loved Coach Bill Thompson, and counted him as a life-long mentor. Dain continued his baseball career at Middle Tennessee State University, where he was a four-year letterman, three-year starter, and captain his senior year. He made numerous lifelong Blue Raider friends during his time there.

Dain served in the United States Air Force for seven years as a NCO Staff Sergeant. He deployed to Iraq where he served his country with honor.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn L. and Dorothy June McNabb, and Jim and Janie Snyder; uncles, Greg Davis and Thomas Giles; and special cousin, Curt Brown.

Dain is survived by his son, Michael Cash McNabb; special mother of his child, Mekenzie Pope; parents, Mike and Stacey McNabb; brother, Ryan McNabb (Nicole); and his beloved uncle and aunt, Ed and Claudia Davis, both of whom mentored and guided Dain in so many ways. He is also survived by his aunt, Linda Giles; great-aunts, Diane Brown and Carolyn Nichols; and numerous cousins and extended family members whom he loved very much.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
