Michael "Mike" B. Aldridge, born March 23, 1952, in Portsmouth, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 73.
Mike was a man of many talents and passions, dedicating much of his life to his work as a skilled carpenter who took pride in building homes. His craftsmanship was admired by all who knew him, and his legacy lives on in the structures he helped create.
A true car enthusiast, Mike had an unwavering love for 70s Mopar "muscle" cars, often spending weekends under the hood or attending car shows to admire these classic beauties. He was also a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and Carolina sports teams, always eager to cheer them on with friends and family.
Mike found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was being outdoors, sitting around a fire, or sharing laughter with friends. He was a Navy veteran who served his country with honor, carrying the values and discipline from his service throughout his life.
Preceded in death by his parents, Donald B. and Hilda Foltz Aldridge, and his loving longtime girlfriend, Cindy Adams, Mike is survived by his younger brothers, Donald and his wife Cheryl, Rob, and Jeff Aldridge. He leaves behind cherished nephews, David, Brent, and Gage Aldridge, along with numerous good friends who enriched his life.
An ardent cat lover, Mike's memory can be honored through donations to a local cat rescue, supporting the animals he held dear.
At this time, no services are being planned. Mike will be remembered fondly by all who knew him and will forever remain in our hearts.
