Michael Baucom

Christopher Michael Baucom, 49, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024 at home in Mena, Arkansas after a lengthy battle with Type I diabetes. He was born on August 25, 1975 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Gary and Roberta Baucom.
Michael graduated from Mena High School and later joined the army to provide for his young family. He was a Millwright by trade and enjoyed traveling to various parts of the country for work and seeing new sights. He enjoyed fishing and camping with family.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.L. Willis, Frances Vaughn Willis Holden, Everett Baucom, Eloise Irvan Baucom; his uncles, Jerry and Tracy Willis; and his aunt, Wanda Willis Bowman.
He is survived by his mother, Roberta Willis Moller and husband, Edward; his father, Gary Baucom and wife, Kay; his brother, David Baucom and wife, Lacy; his half sister, Nicole Hoskins; his step brother, Robert Moller; his son, Jacob Alexander Baucom and wife, Summer; his daughter, Whitley Baucom and fiancé, Ryan Padilla; his daughter, Taitleigh Sharp; his former wife, Lori Sharp (whom he loved to the end); his grandchildren, Chloe, Ryleigh and Jasper; his uncles, Brent Chris Baucom and Keith Baucom; his aunt, Robin Willis; his niece, Macey Maywald and husband, Alden; his nephew, Keelen Baucom and wife, Lilly; several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who loved him dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Dallas Avenue Baptist Church in Mena, Arkansas with Pastor Justin Leonard officiating. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas with burial at Shady Grove Cemetery in Dennard, Arkansas at a later date.
