Michael Stephen "Mike" Becka

Michael ("Mike") Stephen Becka, age 85, died peacefully on Friday, October 3rd, 2025 in Cleveland, Ohio surrounded by family. He was born June 19, 1940, in Grindstone, PA, to the late Michael and Julia Becka.

Beloved husband of 49 years to Pauline J. Becka (nee O'Brien) (deceased); loving father of Maryanne (Conrad) Haller, Therese (Dan) Bohurjak, Patty (Jerry) Holt and Michelle Becka (Dan Buzdor); cherished brother of Norma Mendola (Pat deceased), Louis Becka (Marge), John Becka (Sandy), and Joseph Becka (Rachel); dearest grandfather of Katherine (Willem van der Horst), Kelly, and Kevin Haller, and Joshua and Jennifer Bohurjak; dear uncle and great uncle to many; and treasured friend to many.

Mike moved to Cleveland in 1960. He worked for Reliance Electric and later as a truck driver for UPS, Consolidated Freightways, and Airborne Express. He also obtained his real estate license and worked as a real estate agent at Realty One and Howard Hanna until retiring in 2016.

Mike was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steeler fan, avid pinochle player, and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and going to the movies. He was a member of the Willowick and Willoughby Senior Centers and served on the advisory board of the Willowick Senior Center.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and especially cherished being able to attend performances and sporting events of his children and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2025 at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick. Burial to follow Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
