He is survived by his parents; retired Judge Stanley Bennett and Silvia Bennett. His spouse of 15+ years Maria Seymour and his stepsons; Tyler Seymour, Gabriel Seymour and Michael Seymour. He also leaves behind his 4 grandchildren; Isabella, Robert, Emmett and Gregory Seymour.
Mike found sobriety in the last few years of his life after suffering the adversity of a life-long battle with substance abuse. Despite his shortcomings, Mike strived to teach his stepsons to go down a better path than his own, and to learn from his mistakes. He was extremely proud of his grandchildren and his step sons for the progress they have made in life.
His memory lives on in his friends and family, who meant the world to him.
Mike will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD on April 23, 2024 at Noon. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
