Michael Eugene Berardi

A life missed beyond measure.
Michael Eugene Berardi Sr. passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, in Panama City, FL. He was born August 8, 1930, in Niles Ohio to Adam and Sara Berardi. The family moved to Brooklyn, NY, where he worked in the family-owned restaurant.
He joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 1947. In 1950, he landed at Inchon Korea on his way to the battle of the Chongjin Reservoir. Michael was wounded and received the Purple Heart. After transferring from the Marine Corps to the Air Force, he continued serving for 27 years, retiring in March 1974. Michael was a devout Catholic to the end- he was the was the ultimate example of a Soldier of Christ. Attending Mass daily at his beloved Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Destin, FL.
Michael was blessed with a large and loving family. He married Blanche Pearl French on April 26, 1951, and married again to Alice Mae Stokes on April 7, 1972. Those two marriages encompassed 5 Children, 8 grandchildren, 16 great -grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased in death by his parents, wife Blanche, wife Alice, brothers Joseph and Adam, sister Mary Rose, and sons Fredrick Berardi, and Rick Stokes. He is survived by his siblings Louise Gonan, Carol Ann Berardi, sons Richard Berardi, Michael Berardi Jr., daughter Christine Berardi, and their families.
Services will be held June 27, 2025, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 307 Beach Dr, Destin, FL. Viewing will start at 12:00, Mass to follow at 1:00. After Mass-proceeding to the cemetery for burial. There's a reception at the Corpus Christi Parrish Hall after the burial.
