Michael J. Brown, 66, of Avon, passed away on November 15, 2023 surrounded by loving family members. He was born on November 10, 1957 in Crawfordsville, IN to Robert and Mildred Brown. Michael grew up in Ladoga, IN and attended Southmont High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Ball State University. Michael worked for PSI/Cinergy from 1980 to 2004. He went on to work for Indiana Farm Bureau from 2004 to 2019. Michael was a member of the Indiana State Seniors Golf Association and served as the Director of Golf. He belonged to the First Baptist Church and was the Treasurer almost 15 years. Michael enjoyed golfing, reading and watching soccer in his free time. He loved spending time with his family. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Brown.
Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the First Baptist Church (1012 Stafford Road, Plainfield, IN 46168). A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in the church at 11:00 am.
Survivors include his loving wife, Stephanie Brown; father, Robert (Ellouise) Brown; daughter, Megan Brown; sons, Zach Brown, Aaron (Jessica) Brown and Tim Smiley; brothers, Steve (Anna Christensen) Brown and Jim Morrison; sisters, Nancy (Randy) Perigo, Linda (Ron) Stewart and Sandy (Steve) Neal; grandchildren, Nolan, Noah and Nathaniel. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church (1012 Stafford Road, Plainfield, IN 46168).
