Michael Joe Castor

Michael Joe Castor was born April 11, 1961 in Wellington, KS to Frank and Sharon Castor of Conway Springs KS. The family moved from the farm in 1963 to Cheney, to Wichita in 1968, and back to Cheney in 1975. Mike graduated from Goddard High School in 1979. Michael spent the next 48 years in the aircraft field as a tool maker, quality control inspector, estimator, and planner. in 1980, Michael and his father Frank started MDI in Cheney and he sold his interest in 1999 to pursue other interests. Michael's daughter Adyline was born April 2, 2009 and quickly became the light of his world. Mike died November 6th at Ascension VC St Francis. He was a devoted father, loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, and faithful friend. Michael leaves behind daughter Adyline, Wichita, sister, Nanette Wavra, Maize brother Steven, Vero Beach FL, 3 niece's, 2 nephews, aunts, uncles and many faithful friends. A Celebration of Michael's life will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Wulf-Ast Mortuary Chapel in Garden Plain. He will be laid to rest to rest in Vinita Cemetery. Please join us afterwards to Celebrate Mikes life at MDI in Cheney.
