Michael Jon Ciarelli of Milford, Michigan passed away on August 19, 2025 at the age of 63.

Michael was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Michael Jon Ciarelli was born on April 2, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan. His parents were Patsy and Bernice (DeClercq) Ciarelli. Mike grew up in a full, loving home surrounded by his 8 siblings. On Tuesday, August 19, 2025 Mike was called home to the Lord. He died at home with his wife and several of his children.

Mike graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelors in mechanical engineering, before attending the University of Michigan where he received a masters in mechanical engineering, a masters in bio-engineering, as well as his PhD in bio-engineering. He then spent several years working in a research lab at Michigan State University before making the decision to stay home and take care of his growing family. Mike was an extremely active parishioner of St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows in Milford, as well as active in the community. He volunteered for everything he could and was often found coaching t-ball or soccer with a baby in one arm and others sitting on the sidelines. When he wasn't coaching, he was often at St. Mary's teaching catechism, running the float room at VBS, doing numerous things with St. Mary's Fair, helping the Knights of Columbus, or involved in many different activities at his children's schools. He helped with countless things at St. Patrick's in White Lake as well as Father Gabriel Richard High School including pizza lunch, drama club, equestrian team, chaperoning field trips, Quiz Bowl, and many more. Everyone who met Mike was inspired by his never ending faith and love for Christ. He has given his children and grandchildren a great example of how to put God and family first in every moment of every day.

Mike met his best friend and beloved wife Kristen (Krieger) 40 years ago and they were 1 month away from 33 wonderful years of married life. He was the beloved father of Danielle (Nick), Antonio (Brittany), Joseph, Dominic, Maria, Vincenzo, Angelo, and Alfonso. Loving grandfather to Leonardo and Evelyn. And devoted brother to (Patty), Gary (Joan), Ken (Diane), Deborah, Jacqueline, Tom (Susan), Jim (Traci) and Cheryl (David) Balash. Predeceased by his brother Robert. Also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as 5 great nieces and nephews. Mike's booming voice leading prayers or organizing family pictures will be forever missed.
