Michael J. Cifelli

Vernon - Michael J. Cifelli, age 37 passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Livingston, Michael grew up in Vernon, graduated from Vernon Township High School and received his bachelor's degree from Stockton College. While in school, Michael excelled in math and was recognized for his mathematical achievements. He also was an avid hockey fan. Michael lived in Austin, Texas and St. Petersburg, Florida before recently moving back to Sussex County. He had been employed as a sales broker and most recently worked for US Health Advisors and also was employed by Logical Position. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Anthony Cifelli on July 27, 2017 and his uncles, Anthony Rega and Rich Rega. Michael is survived by his mother, Susan (Rega) Cifelli of Vernon; his father, Thomas N. Cifelli of Newton, his brother, David Cifelli of Vernon; and his uncle, Steve Rega; his aunt, Delezia Cantalupo and cousins, Amanda and Gina Rega along with numerous relatives. He will be dearly missed and cherished. Private cremation services have been held at the convenience of the family. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 185 Breakneck Road, Highland Lakes, NJ 07422.
