Michael "Mike" Thomas Davis, age 57, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away on September 28th, 2025.
On January 29th, 1968, Michael was brought into the world by Lorine Owen Davis in Spencer County, KY. After growing up traveling and living in many places, he graduated from Shelby County High School. Mike then honorably joined the United States Air Force.
After serving, Mike settled back in Kentucky surrounded by many family members, friends, and, of course, his many pets, especially Lilo and Loki. He was known as a man with many hobbies and interests; wood-working, collecting golf balls, watching UK games - are just a few of the fun, quirky things that he loved!
His friends and family will always remember "King Mike's" loud, infectious laugh, his competitive nature, and all the days and nights spent playing with his nieces and nephews. Mike never lost his youthful energy and sense of fun but his huge heart will be the most missed thing about him!
Mike was preceded in death by his mother Lorine, siblings Diane Ludwig, Tony Davis, Robert Davis, Ricky Davis, and Jenny Davis, his grandmother Mattie Davis, his daughter Amber Davis, his stepson Derek Dimitri, and his wife Dana Davis.
He is survived by his daughters Amanda Davis and Megan (Cameron) Cornish, his stepdaughter Brittany (Jay) Doolin, his siblings Donna (Bernie) Melanson, Troy (April) Davis, and Vicky (Michael) Haycox, his grandkids Faith, JJ, Emersyn, Addison, and Wrigley, as well as lots and lots of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th, 2025 at Schmid Funeral Home located at 9500 KY-44 Mt Washington KY 40047 from 10-1pm immediately followed by a 1pm Funeral Service there.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local Humane Society- Mike's dogs meant the world to him and he would love for his memory to continue in helping all pets find safe homes!
Mike leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and goofy, cherished memories.
