Michael J. DeCosmo DO

Michael J. DeCosmo, DO of Cherry Hill, NJ, lovingly known as Doc, died July 3, 2024. Age 80. Beloved husband of Kathleen DeCosmo (nee Messina). Loving father of Michele Creamer (Richard); Gerald Neale (Esra), Jacqueline Neale and Michael McGurn. Devoted grandfather of Michael, Julian and Lale Neale. Dear brother of John DeCosmo, Darlene Rios, Carolyn Macy and Brian DeCosmo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Michael attended Des Moines College of Osteopathic Medicine and was a practicing Dermatologist in Camden, Cherry Hill, and Medford for 45 years. Michael was a 1962 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School Camden, NJ. During his time at Woodrow Wilson he became the all-time leading basketball scorer, scoring over 1000 points. Michael was selected to the Group 4 All State Basketball Team in 1962. He attended University of Maryland 1963-1967 where he was captain of the Maryland Terrapins basketball team. Michael was later inducted into the South Jersey Basketball Hall of Fame as well as the University of Maryland's Basketball Hall of Fame.
Viewing Thursday morning 10 to 11:45am in Christ Our Light Church, 402 N. Kings Hwy, Cherry Hill, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 12pm. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ.
