POTSDAM – Michael G. Delosh, "Pa", 76, of Mackay Road, peacefully passed away Thursday evening, January 16, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.
Michael was born in Potsdam on November 3, 1948, the son of the late Darwin J. and Eleanor (Jandreau) Delosh. He attended Norwood-Norfolk Central School, graduating in 1968. On November 8, 1969, he married Joan K. Larose at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. She predeceased him on November 9, 2009.
In 1971, Mike started his working career at J.C. Merriman's proudly working for them for the next 50 years until his retirement in 2021. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, taking walks, and riling up his grandchildren.
Michael is survived by his children, Michelle Delosh (Mike Steenberg) and Joseph (Aimee) Delosh; his grandchildren, Jay Zenger (Caitlin McGregor), Journee Zenger (Chris Green), Kaitlyn (Madi) Seguin, Courtney Delosh (Xavier Lora) Brittany (Brandon) Murray, and Brooke (Tyler) Norman; and his great grandchildren, Liliana, Shea and Keegan Murray, Lehman and McKenna Norman, Brinlee, Kai, and Alanna Meacham, Maylee and Walker Green.
Michael is also survived by his siblings, Larry Delosh, Leslie Delosh (Mark Patrick), Charlene Larose, and Brenda Delosh; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife of 40 years, he was predeceased by a daughter, Angie Delosh on November 17, 2022; a grandson, Justin Zenger; a brother, David Delosh; and a sister, Betsy Niles.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam where friends may call on Monday 2-6:00 PM. A graveside service will be held in the spring in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hopkinton.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
