Michael James Dippre, age 64, of Coopersville, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 at his home with family at his side. Mike was born in Livonia MI., to the late James and Dorothy (Padden) Dippre. He worked at MichCor Container’s in Grand Rapids as a Maintenance Technician. Mike enjoyed his family and spoiling his grandchildren, camping at Sportsman Park Campground at Hardy Dam, where he has had a camper for 20 plus years. He also enjoyed boating, NASCAR, was a Lion’s fan and was the go to guy if you needed something fixed as Mike could pretty much fix anything.
Mike is survived by his wife of 35 yrs. Elaine (Kreuzer) Dippre, stepchildren, Scott McGillis, Angela (Jon) Griffis and Brooks (Amberlyn) McGillis; son-in-law, Jim Hohman: 9 stepgrandchildren, Jada McGillis, Grady McGillis, Ryan McGillis, Lexus Dankert and fiancé Michael Hiles, Sawyer Griffis, Ethan Hohman, Cooper Hohman, Dream (Mateo) Carbajal and Nevaeh McGillis; sisters, Mary Dippre and Nancy Dippre; mother-in-law, Joann Kreuzer; brother-in-law, Gary (Sue) Kreuzer; sisters-in-law, Connie Hilgendorf, Teresa Budds, Brenda Bamsey and Stacey Hallman; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by his stepdaughter Rebecca Hohman, twin brother Brian Dippre, father-in-law Richard Kreuzer and brothers-in-law Paul Kreuzer and Dennis Hilgendorf.
In keeping with Mike’s wish cremation has taken place with a private family service at a later date. Condolences for the family may be left on Mike’s guestbook at www.throopfh.com.
