Michael Durand Obituary
Born in Providence, he was a son of Beverly A. (Nickerson) Durand and the late Paul J. Durand.
Michael was currently employed at the Providence Housing Authority and prior to that, he was a longtime employee at Stop & Shop Supermarket. He was a proud Member of the Providence Canteen, and he was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan, Patriots fan, as well as following all of the Boston professional sports teams. In his spare time, he could be found proudly tending to his summer vegetable garden.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Bradley Durand and a brother Daniel Durand, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Please join us at a Celebration of his life, which will be held at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, Thursday March 27th at 11:00 am. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 26th, 4:00-7:00 pm.
