Michael A Esber

December 20, 1953 - March 20, 2023

Michael A. Esber, 69, of Brunswick Hills Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023, with his beloved wife by his side. Michael was an entrepreneur that built Michael's Mini Mart (which he later sold and is now Caps N Cork Fill N Chill) on Pearl Rd. in Brunswick, which he ran for 45 years. He was also very active in the community, serving as a Township Trustee for 16 years. Michael loved people, and if you met him, you immediately loved him too. He also loved food, history, travelling to historic places, collecting key chains, and following the stock market. As his last wish, he traveled to the Rocky Mountains in February with his wife, sister, and friends. Above all else, Michael was a family man – a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His infectious laugh, love, generosity, and gentle heart will be immensely missed.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Katherine; sons, Michael P. Esber, Chad Esber (Jillian), and Derek Beck (Vicky Chan); grandchildren, Morgan, Lily, Hailey, and Taylor Esber; and siblings, Edward (Peggy), Dennis, Kenneth (Therese), Richard (Sharon), and Steve Esber, Lisa Bart, and Matthew Esber.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Joanne Esber, and an infant son, Todd Esber.

A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Rd., Brunswick on Sunday, March 26 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Michael's name to the American Cancer Society or the Hospice of the Western Reserve.
