Theresa Esber Obituary

Beyond her role in the classroom, Theresa's compassion for others extended to her volunteer work. She served as a guardian ad litem with Stark County Family Court, offering support and a voice to those in need. Her love for animals led her to volunteer as a pet visitor with the Humane Society, she also devoted her time and energy to Sancta Clara Monastery, where her gentle spirit and kindness left an indelible mark.
Theresa was not only an educator and volunteer; she was a loving and loyal friend to many. Those who knew her will remember her warmth, her infectious smile, and her passion for life. In her free time, she found solace in gardening, reading, and knitting, activities that brought her great joy and allowed her to share her creativity with others.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Anna Dettling; and husband, Ferris Esber.
She is survived by her son, Alex Esber of Columbus, OH; and sister, Sister Evelyn Dettling of Pittsburg, PA.
A memorial visitation will be held on April 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM. Please visit www.reedfuneralhome.com to sign the online guestbook.

Theresa was loved and is missed by Alliance members of her hands on healing group of reiki friends and practitioners. Theresa 's heart was caring and she cared for seniors, animals, children, cloistered nuns. She offered assistance to anyone who crossed her path who needed physical or spiritual help . We send solace and support to her beloved older sister who is grieving with us. Peace be with all who are grieving.

Kevin and I would like to offer our condolences to the Esber family. Theresa was our neighbor for many years and always offered assistance, if we needed it. She will be missed. May God bless the family.
