Michael Patrick Forsyth, 76, of Cahokia, Illinois,born July 15, 1949 in Belleville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Autumn Meadows in Cahokia, Illinois.

Michael was a retired carpenter from Carpenters Union Local 1997 in Belleville, IL. He was a Vietnam War U.S. Air Force veteran. He was an avid outdoors man who loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the NRA and the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society..

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rebecca, nee Koenig, Forsyth and a brother, Steven Forsyth.

Surviving are his son, Michael P. Forsyth, Jr. of Pontoon Beach, IL; a grandson, Parker; a sister, Linda (Dennis) Branson of Dupo, IL; a niece, Mary (Chris) Koppenhoffer; and two nephews, Mark (Rob Cwiklowski) Branson and Matt Branson. He was also a dear cousin, friend. and beloved resident of Autumn Meadows.

Friends may visit from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the funeral home, with Reverend Rebecca Lembke officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
