Michael "Mike" Garcia, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, left this world on December 30, 2024, at the age of 32. Born on October 19, 1992, in San Antonio, Texas, Michael's gentle nature and infectious humor brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
He is survived by a loving family: his siblings, Max Garcia Jr. and Rachel Cedillo; his brother-in-law, Joshua Cedillo; and his adored nephews, Dylan, Benjamin, Max III Garcia, and Santino Cedillo, as well as his niece, Emma Garcia. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Diana Garcia, who instilled in him the values of love and family that he carried throughout his life.
A graduate of South San High School, Mike carried the values of community and service into his professional life. His career as a dispatcher for a non-profit organization showcased his compassionate spirit, as he played a crucial role in assisting the disabled and elderly with transportation needs. Mike's unwavering commitment to helping others will be remembered by all who worked alongside him.
A self-proclaimed movie buff, especially with the horror genre, could always be counted on for a film recommendation or quoting movies to and with his siblings. His love for gaming was more than a hobby; it was a way for him to connect, compete, and share laughter with his friends. Mike also found joy in the thrill of watching basketball and football. While he never committed to a team; he was a lover of the game. Nothing compared to the time he spent with his family, especially playing and creating memories with his nephews and niece. Michael's presence at family gatherings was a guarantee of fun and laughter.
Those who knew Mike will remember him for his loving nature, his ability to make anyone smile, and his gentle approach to life. His presence was a source of comfort and happiness to all who were lucky enough to know him. Mike's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his spirit will continue to inspire kindness and joy in those he has left behind. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
