Michael Geller

Michael Geller, 68, a long-standing resident of Brick, NJ passed away on January 3, 2022. Born in Irvington, NJ he was a proud graduate of Irvington High School. Following high school graduation, he enrolled in Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1975. While attending Stevens, he joined the brotherhood of Theta Xi Fraternity making friendships that lasted the rest of his life.
After college, he promptly started his professional career in engineering working for several consulting engineering firms obtaining his Professional Engineering and Professional Planners licenses. He also was the Howell Township Engineer for several years. Later, his career blossomed as he became partner of the engineering firm Gravatt Geller & Associates with offices in Freehold and Lacey, NJ. After leaving Gravatt Geller & Associates, he became part owner of the engineering firm Geller Sive & Company LLC in Freehold, NJ, until he retired about a year ago.
In his leisure, he loved discussing sports and was a die-hard New York Yankee and Giants fan. He was a lover of everything Beatles, enjoying Friday night band practice with his fellow band mates and appreciated golfing on a nice day. All that said, there was no greater pleasure than hanging out by the pool with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Rae & Benjamin Geller and his brother Steven Geller. He is survived by loving wife, Lucille Geller; his brother Leonard Geller and his wife Valerie; his stepchildren Beth LaPoint, Brianna Julius, Michael Herman and his wife Michele, Jessica Herman and her fiancé Damon Dowd and Alex Herman; his step grandchild Raymond and Katie LaPoint, Elizabeth and Emily, James Dowd and Michael Herman Jr.; his nieces and nephews Joel, Andrew, David, Jacob and Rachel Geller and many close friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Beth Olam Memorial Park, Route 70 West, Lakewood, NJ. Donation's in Michael's honor may be made to Fulfill Food Bank, 3300 Route 66, Neptune, NJ 07753. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood, NJ.
