Obituary of Michael Henry Graff
Michael Henry Graff, age 82, of Saint Paul, Minnesota passed away on February 29, 2024.
Michael was born on August 3, 1941, to Henry and Jean (Sievert) Graff in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Michael graduated from Mounds View High School in 1959, and was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1965 as a field medic in the Vietnam War.
After returning home to Minnesota in 1966 he worked in construction, and eventually settling into a career as a machinist at Wilson Tool in Hugo, MN, where he worked until his retirement in 2008.
In 1968, he met Alma Lopez, and the two married in August of 1969. Michael and Alma went on to have two children, Elizabeth and Richard and raised them in Oakdale.
Michael was absolutely at peace in nature and enjoyed duck, grouse, pheasant, and deer hunting in Northern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin every season. He was also an avid fur trapper and taxidermist, as well as a collector of antiques and duck decoys. Michael was also active in several bowling leagues and enjoyed bird watching, woodworking, and landscaping.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Henry, as well as siblings Carol and Robert. He is survived by his wife Alma, his two children Elizabeth and Richard, his grandchildren, Omid, Maryam and Isis and his brother Ronald (Elsie).
A service will be held at Fort Snelling on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 9am.

This is Joe Harringer. I worked with mike in the heat treat department for many years. At first he was Leary about a new guy coming into the department but we eventually became great coworkers with him working 3rd and me first shift. My wife Linda would make banana bread for him. I visited him at home and got to see is beautiful decoy collection. He was always ready for deer hunting season. He will be missed
