Mr. Michael Lee Harris, 55, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024. He was born December 2, 1968 in Yadkin County to Leo Alvin Harris and Judy Rebecca Griffith Smith. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his mother. Michael was an outstanding all-around athlete at Forbush High School. Michael was quick witted and very talented at anything he set his mind to. He is survived by his fiancé, Tracey Butner; his father Leo (Gin) Harris; sisters, Carla (Andy) Melton, Kandi (Richard) Shaffner, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family would like to give a special thank you to his fiancé Tracey for loving and caring for Michael for over 12 years. The family would also like to thank Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Renal ICU staff for the loving care shown to Michael and his family. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Harris family.
