Michael G. Hendrikse, 66, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 15, 2025.
Michael was born March 20, 1959 to Harold and Audrey (Neerhof) Hendrikse. He was a 1977 graduate of Oostburg High School. A skilled machinist, Michael worked at various local businesses throughout his 40+ year career.
On March 31, 1979 he was united in marriage with Pamela Brunnbauer in Oostburg. The couple shared 32 years together before her passing in 2011.
An avid outdoorsman, Mike belonged to Farmer and Sportsman Club, Whitetail Bowhunters (Johnsonville) and most recently, Viking Gun Club (Valders). An archery expert, Mike was the 1995 World Champion in Birmingham, England and placed in the top 10 in the 1997 competition. He had a stubborn streak, and was proud of his children, always making sure that they appreciated good music.
Mike is survived by his daughter Nikki (Patrick) Fiedler of Cleveland, WI, his son Paul Hendrikse of Sheboygan, his parents Harold and Audrey Hendrikse of Oostburg, brothers Karl Hendrikse of Sheboygan and Larry (Cathy) Hendrikse of Sheboygan, sisters Denise Prinsen and Sandy (Bill) Schmit, both of Oostburg, brothers-in-law John Brunnbauer and Todd (Juana) Brunnbauer, both of Sheboygan, beloved fur grandbaby Vito, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Mike’s life will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at First Reformed Church in Oostburg with Pastor Brian Taylor officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 10:00AM-12:00PM noon. He will be laid to rest beside Pam at Gibbsville Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Mike’s friend, Kay Franklin, for her friendship over the last few months. They would also like to thank the Sheboygan First Responders for their compassionate care.
