Michael Allen Hettmansperger, 59, of Roann, Indiana, died at 3:39 am, Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on February 16, 1965, in Wabash, Indiana, to Nevin F. and Sandra Kaye "Sandy" (Jefferson) Hettmansperger.
Mike was a 1983 graduate of Wabash High School and received his associate degree from the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, Ohio. He worked at Ford Meter Box, and also worked at Broadbeck Seed Corn Co and Denney Motor Sales, all of Wabash. Mike enjoyed gardening, yard work, listening to music, going to concerts, working on hot rods, going to car shows, and was an animal lover. He was a true "Girl Dad".
He is survived by his daughter, Charyn Hettmansperger of Roann; sisters, Kim (David) Pegg, Jeanettah Lyons, and Emily Scaggs, all of Wabash; niece, Abbie (Zach) Wright of Peru, Indiana; nephew, Jacob (Kristen) Pegg of Lagro, Indiana; great-nieces and nephews, Hudson and Hartlee Wright of Peru, and Carter and Reese Pegg of Lagro; and the mother of his daughter, Lori D. Allen of North Manchester, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 12, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Jacob Pegg officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 3-7 pm Thursday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Roann Volunteer Fire Department.
