Mr. Michael "Mike" Bryan Honaker, age 64, of the Clifton Farm Road section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Saturday (March 29, 2025) at his home. Born October 19, 1960 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Billy Sunday and Sophie Ellen Ball Honaker. A lifelong resident of the area, he was of the Christian faith, attending Drill Chapel and the Barn Church. He was a plumber for over forty years, owning and operating Little River Excavating and Plumbing. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he enjoyed watching westerns, farming, and gardening, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several siblings, and granddaughter, Sydney Black.
Survivors include his companion and wife of forty-five years, Terri French Honaker; children, Michael French Honaker and wife, Kim, Michelle Thomas and husband, Basil "Junior", Sherri Street and husband, Rocky, and Donna Puckett and husband, Mike; special granddaughter, whom he helped raise, Jasmine Sluss and fiancé, Joe Gibson; grandchildren, Hayden Thomas, Parker Thomas, Colton Thomas, Jordon Sluss and wife, Emma, Ciera Skeens, Jarrett Tyler Bostic, McKinley Shortt, and McKinna Shortt; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Bastian, Jentzen, and Atlas Sluss; one sister, Robin Smith; sisters-in-law, Linda Gay Honaker and Diane Honaker; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Rick Thompson, Rev. Guy Harris, and Rev. Chester Ball officiating. Music provided by Chris Holder.
The family will receive friends from 5- 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
