On July 10th, 2022, our beloved son, brother, and uncle Michael L. Horvath, passed away at St. Joseph Medical Center. Mike left this world surrounded by those who loved him so very much. Although his passing is painful and premature, we find some peace in knowing his mom was there to greet him, take his hand, and help him on his journey.

Mike grew up in Granger, Indiana, and was the fourth of five children born to William and Mary Lee Horvath. He graduated from Penn High School in 1981 and worked for many years in telecommunications. Although he loved his work, his real passion was his family. Mike was a devoted and generous son, brother and uncle; someone his parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews could always count on. He loved family get-togethers and was always the first to arrive and the last to leave. His love for family was also evident inside his home, which was filled with photos of family members. Mike also enjoyed watching and attending Nascar races and was a life-long fan of the Minnesota Vikings.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Horvath.

He is survived by his father, William Horvath; his two brothers, William (Cathy) Horvath, Daniel Horvath; and his two sisters, Alicia (Kurt) Webber, and Amanda (Tim) Ceravolo; his nieces and nephews, Brantly (Cally) Horvath, Courtney Horvath, Erin (Teddy) Moskwinski, Katie (Spencer) Michael, Benjamin (Abigail) Horvath, Noah Webber, ten great-nieces and nephews and his best dog buddy, Oliver.

A Celebration of Mike's life will take place Friday, July 15th, at McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 State Road 23, Granger, IN 46530. Visitation will start at 3:00 PM, followed by a short service at 4:30 PM.
