OMG I just found out about this over the Easter weekend. My heart is broken...one of the nicest guys on the planet. We were fellow townies (day students) at Albright starting in the fall of '69 and being the small school that it was, shared some intro-level classes (and a few chuckles) together. What a class guy. A year later I met Carol...the perfect All-American couple.
My only regret is that I failed to keep up with them as the years passed.
We only got together a few times as adults...a true shame. We lived a whole 5 miles away from one another.
There is a special place in Heaven for a special guy like Mike. My heartfelt condolences to Carol; and to their posterity, whom I've never had the pleasure of meeting.
God will watch over Mike. He looks after good souls. So long, my friend. Hope to see you again in the not-too-distant future.

My deepest sympathies to Carol and the rest of the family. We enjoyed many years of friendship and a close working relationship together at Essick & Barr.
Mike was a proud and loving family man and a dedicated businessman with the the utmost integrity. He will surely be missed. Saddened by his passing!

I met Mike in the summer of 1962 when we were 11. Mike lived a few houses down and across the street. I had just moved to Temple and Mike was my first friend in my new neighborhood. He had a basketball hoop in his yard and whenever I´d hear dribbling, I´d run down to his place to shoot. That started a long friendship that culminated in winning our high school county championship in 1969. Mike was a great competitor and a good friend. I´ll always cherish the basketball memories we shared and the fun we had on and off the court. My condolences go out to Carol and her family. Bob Large
