Michael J. Jarvis, 70, a lifelong resident of Sebring passed away Thursday August 8, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Avon Park, graduated from Sebring High School in 1972. He received his Associates Degree from South Florida Junior College and attended Florida State University. He was employed by Eldridge's Floor Covering. He was owner of Frames and Images in Sebring. Mike served his community by volunteering for several organizations. He was a member and Past President of Friends of the Hammock and Sebring Historical Society. He also had served on the Board of Directors for the United Way and the American Red Cross. He is survived by his wife, Vicki; children, Willis Hall, California, Erica Jarvis, North Carolina, Tara Jarvis (Chris Stevens), England, Crystal Jarvis, Sebring, Brock Jarvis, Sebring, Chris Friend of Okeechobee and Michael Friend of Sebring and 6 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Morris Funeral Chapel. In leiu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends of the Hammock, Sebring Historical Society or to New Testament Mission. There will be a luncheon at Weigle House Museum after the service.
